Two brothers and a best friend head up the Daniels Wood Land, Inc. Team. DWL was officially formed in 1997 by John Daniels. In 1999, John's brother Ron finished college and joined forces with DWL. James Powell came on board in 2002.

Today, we have over 40 employees, and we've shipped tree houses all over the world, including Hong Kong, Japan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Mexico, Spain and more.

Our clients include celebrities such as Clint Eastwood, and Vanessa Williams and Professional athletes including NBA Star Jason Kidd, and MLB Star Roy Halladay. We're grateful to all of our customers and fans for their support.

Ron Daniels

Ron grew up with John and their older brother on a ranch. They were a real life Tom Sawyer-like bunch of country boys. After the chores were done, they had free play time, as long as they used it wisely. Their John Wayne-like dad could always find more chores if they looked bored (of course watchin' the ol' boob tube was equivalent to bein' bored). So they were always up to something creative, and ohhh the forts they built! As John started carvin' in the early 1990's, Ron headed off to college. He finished his Master's degree in Mathematics in 1999 and went full time into the tree house business from there. Today he's President of DWL and coordinates general business matters with his 2 partners James and John.

John Daniels

You can trace the beginning of DWL all the way back to when John was in grade school- drawing pictures instead of listening to his teacher! During high school, John started carving small faces and made a little money when he sold them. A short time later he tried carving with a chainsaw- he was a natural right from the beginning. He's been a carvin' ever since then. In 1997 John decided to build a special tree house from his bear characters. and the rest is history!

James Powell

James Powell entered the scene in 2003 after relocating from Cleveland, Ohio. As a kid, James loved building model railroads. The funny thing is that all his models were just as crooked and whimsical as our life size tree houses! He moved to our home town 'cause he had a friend nearby. The dot com crash left James needin' to find something else to do with his life. So he looked us up. He worked with DWL on a few projects and his work was a huge hit. After a private meeting filled with some horse tradin' style negotiatin' a deal was struck, and James became a full fledged partner.
